Today’s message comes from the Nine of Pentacles of David’s Tarot. This is actually a very positive card to find. This card suggests that you have come to a point in your life where you are feeling confident and like your efforts are starting to pay off. Traditionally the image of this card is of a flowering garden, the results of hard word coming to fruition. I love the image of the David’s Tarot because it shows circles spiraling out from the center of a darker circle and smaller bits spreading out from there. To me this is a beautiful image of outward motion and growth.
A big message of the Nine of Pentacles is to enjoy the results of your work. You have worked hard for what you have, take a moment, step back and enjoy. Work is good, but without any enjoyment or play you will begin to regret the work and sacrifices made to get where you are. While the suit of Pentacles tends to deal specifically with the material I have seen this particular card indicate home and business as well.
Now, if you find yourself in a situation where you are in the midst of hard work and sacrifice this card doesn’t really change its meaning, instead rather than talking about what currently is it is indicating what will soon be. If you are toiling away at something and working hard on a business, a job, maybe working towards a promotion, or buying a house then the Nine of Pentacles is likely suggesting that your work will come to fruition and you will begin to see positive results soon. When you begin to see these results be sure to slow down, take time, enjoy the fruit of your labors. All too often we want to power through and get right to the next step of life rather than relishing what we’ve accomplished.
When meditating on this card today think about those places in your life where you are seeing the results of your labors. If you aren’t seeing results, focus instead on those labors you are currently in the midst of. Look forward to those positive results and know they are coming. Are there places in your life where you need to stop and enjoy what you have? If so, be sure to do that. You’ve worked hard. You deserve it.
