The Aquatic Tarot is amazing with its vibrant rendering of Pamela Coleman-Smith’s very well known art. Honestly, this is my favorite of the Rider-Waite clones out there. This particular card is also quite an amazing card.
The Three of Wands represents new journeys and new horizons. Here we find a man who looks over a cliff at the sea and the unknown land beyond it. The Three of Wands is both a minor ending and a major beginning. At this juncture it’s likely that parts of life and certain situations have come to a close, yet this close has created an opening for new adventures that were likely never considered before.
This card signifies that if you have been thinking about a new journey or if you have been working towards a new beginning, now is the time to jump in! The horizon here represents nearly unlimited potential. Your greatest potential for so much in life rests outside of your current sphere. Don’t be afraid to explore!
Taking the steps to begin a journey like this is frightening. As you begin to prepare you may begin to have second thoughts. After all, staying where you are is safe, yet safe doesn’t often lead to positive growth. The Three of Wands is calling for you to step out of your comfort zone and take the plunge! No one promises the journey will be easy, but it will be worth it.
The one warning here is to remember that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. There will be challenges on the other side as well. However, the journey is necessary for growth. Now is the time to thing big, push through the fear, and start this amazing new journey!
